The round absorbent granules of the Moisture Absorber Replacement Granules have a larger absorption surface area than the often-used flakes, while the round shape also creates more space between the granules, allowing more air (with moisture) to flow along the granules.
Moisture Absorber Refill Granules are designed for maximum air contact, this results in a moisture absorber that is faster, works for a longer period of time and which can extract 1.5 times more moisture from the air than comparable systems.
Using in other systems: HG Moisture Absorber Refill Granules can be used in all other systems that work with loose moisture-absorbing flakes, as well as systems that work with ready-to-use refill bags. Should these systems have holes that that may cause the granules to fall through, simply cut a piece of coffee filter or a tissue to the right size and place it over the holes. This will stop the HG Moisture Absorber Refill Granules falling in the container, but will allow the moisture to leak through.

Depending on the relative humidity, 450 grams of HG Moisture Absorber Refill Granules is effective for 2 to 3 months in a room of 40 cubic metres.
Re-filling HG Moisture Absorber: Remove the lid from the granule basket. If you are about to use the granule basket for the first time, press the upturned bottom of the granule basket down and secure by clicking it into the basket.
Turn the lid off the bottle and remove the airtight seal, pour the HG Moisture Absorber Refill Granules out of the bottle into the granule basket.
Place the lid of the granule basket back and put the granule basket back on the jug or (in the case of a separate granule basket) on the plastic bucket, plastic washing up bowl or plastic tub.
Attention: Check the granule basket once a month. If the granule basket is empty, empty the jug down the drain. To do this, take the granule basket off the jug, place it in the sink temporarily (take care not to spill any 'trapped' moisture because it may stain), empty the jug and replace the granule basket on the jug.
Fill the granule basket with new HG Moisture Absorber Refill Granules and leave the HG Moisture Absorber to do its job. Carefully rinse the sink.
Tip: Spilt liquid may stain. If this is the case, clean the stain immediately with lots of water and dab carefully. Repeat if necessary.
Any stains can be removed with sodium sulphate (available from a chemist). Make a 5% solution in water (50 grams per litre) and sprinkle it on the stain.
Leave to work for around 30 minutes. Then allow the water to evaporate with a hair dryer or electric heater. Vacuum any remaining powder.
Avoid contact with leather and metal because these materials can be affected.
