HG Hagesan Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer Usage Instructions
Directions for use:
Preliminary Treatment: Sections that have turned very grey should preferably first be treated with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Colour Renovator. This will remove the grey colouration from the wood and give better results when applying HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer. Allow the furniture to dry thoroughly.
Directions for Use: Cover the ground carefully with a sheet or old newspapers before use to protect the ground from staining. Any parts that you do not wish to treat with the restorer should also be covered.
For best results, scrub the surface with steel wool (00) or with a hard brush. Remove dirt and dust from your hardwood garden furniture with a dry cloth or a brush and make sure the wood is absolutely dry.
Evenly spray HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer on the hardwood surface. If it starts to drip anywhere or droplets form, spread them out with a dry cloth. Allow the wood to absorb the HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer completely.
Leave for ten minutes only, then thoroughly remove any excess material with a dry cloth that doesn't give off any fluff. If necessary you can then lightly buff the wood with a clean dry cloth.
For optimum result, spray the garden furniture again with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer after one hour and let the wood sbsorb the restorer again. After 24 hours, the HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer will have penetrated the wood completely.
After use, hold the HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer spray can upside down and spray until only the propellant comes out of it. This will prevent it from clogging. If the nozzle still clogs up, pull it off the can and immerse it in white spirit for a few hours. If necessary you can pierce the nozzle with a fine needle.
Attention: Any absorbent material (rags etc.) which have come into contact with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer should dry out properly before being discarded, otherwise overheating can cause them to ignite. It is for this reason that it is best not to use spongy porous materials.
