HG Hagesan Protector for Untreated Wooden Furniture - Instructions

Directions for use:

1. Before applying HG Protector for Untreated Wooden Furniture make sure the wood is completely clean, dry and free from grease.

2. Apply HG Protector for Untreated Wooden Furniture with a brush in an even layer. The wood will become a little darker, but when it has dried, it will lighten again.

3. Leave to dry for at least 5 hours before using the furniture again. After 24 hours you can clean the furniture.

4. For furniture that is used frequently and that requires intensive cleaning, such as tables, it is recommended to maintain the Protector by re-applying a thin layer once every 3 months with a lint-free cloth.

Coverage: 4.5 - 6.5 m² per 250ml, depending on the type of wood.

Attention: If the dirt remains on the wood for too long, you may develop a surface stain despite the use of HG Protector for Untreated Wooden Furniture. This can be removed with HG Interior Spray. If a mark remains after cleaning, this can be removed easily by sanding it down with fine sandpaper, after which you can apply HG Protector for Untreated Wooden Furniture to the mark.

If applied to furniture that has been treated with wax, this wax must first be removed with HG Furniture Wax Remover, then the furniture must be sanded down to remove all wax remnants.

HG Protector can also be used to provide oiled furniture with an additional protective layer. Test it first in an inconspicuous place. If the treated mark dries up grey/white or stained, you cannot use HG Protector.

May give a slight colour nuance to the wood.
