HG Hagesan Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer - Instructions Directions for Use: Pre-Treatment of grey coloured hardwood and / or hardwood with weather stains. 1. Treat grey coloured hardwood beforehand preferably with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Colour Renovator. 2. Treat hardwood with Mildew Stains with a suitable mildew remover for wood. 3. Rinse off the hardwood well with clean water and allow to fully dry. Treating the hardwood: 1. Cover or tape all areas which are not to be treated. 2. Apply HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer with a brush following the wood grain and let it soak into the hardwood. 3. If the hardwood is still absorbent after HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer has been applied then a second thin coat can be applied after 10 minutes. 4. Remove any surface HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer with a dry fluff-free cloth. 5. After 24 hours the hardwood is capable of taking a load; after 48 hours the product is completely hardened. Coverage: 10 m² per litre, depending on how much the hardwood can absorb. Caution: + Only apply HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer to unstained and unvarnished hardwood. + The stated soaking-in time and drying times apply at a temperature of between 15-25 ºC and a relative air humidity of 50-60%. If conditions are more unfavourable then you should allow for longer soaking-in and drying time. + Clean brushes with turpentine before the product has dried in. + After opening, the product can be kept for up to 2 years or more, providing it is stored in sealed packing. + We would recommend that you also treat new hardwood. As preparation, sand paper the hardwood and clean off all dust. Saftey Measures: + Cloths used for application can spontaneously combust if put away bundled. This can be avoided by laying the cloths out flat to dry fully. + Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
