HG Hagesan Terracotta Wax Usage Instructions Directions for use: If the floor is untreated or porous this will need to be treated with HG Impregnator to reduce its porosity and to ensure a good base to sustain the HG Terracotta Wax. Before treatment with HG Terracotta Wax the floor should be perfectly clean and dry (allow new floors fixed with sand and cement to dry for 4-6 weeks; fixed with adhesive for 1 week). White or greenish efflorescence and grout residues should be thoroughly removed with HG Extra of HG Limex. Spot stains should be removed with HG Spot Stain Remover. Clean the floor thoroughly with HG Terracotta Remover. In any case allow the surface to dry thoroughly (minimum 2 days). Switch off any underfloor heating. HG Terracotta Wax should be applied at surrounding temperatures of above 15 degrees celsius. Apply HG Terracotta Wax at 20 degrees celsius (warm by immersing the bottle in warm water, pouring it into a bucket and stirring thoroughly) with a soft brush evenly across the tiles and grout joints. Max 2 m² at a time. The HG Terracotta Wax should then be rubbed in thoroughly and polished with a cloth or buffing machine. For very porous floors repeat the above treatment. On untreated floors apply the HG Terracotta Wax generously with a brush. Coverage: 2.5 - 10 m² per litre. Attention: HG Terracotta Wax Protector is recommended as a protection against the penetration of dirt and grit and HG Terracotta Clean and Shine for general maintenance. HG Terracotta Wax should not be applied to exterior locations. For those areas use HG Impregnator. If HG Terracotta Wax Protector is not used, the HG Terracotta Wax will need to be polished/buffed from time to time to preserve the shine. Allow good ventilation during application.
